We collect only what Bhavyam needs to work: your birth details, your account, the questions and photos you choose to send, and your payment records. We never sell your personal data. You can delete your account and data from the app at any time.
Who we are
Bhavyam (Android app id app.bhavyam.spiritual) is operated by its owner in India (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal data we process, why, who helps us process it, and your rights, including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the “DPDP Act”).

Age
Bhavyam is meant for people aged 13 or older. Please do not use it if you are under 13. If we learn that we hold an account of someone under 13, we will delete it.
If you are between 13 and 17, please use Bhavyam with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian. A few features are only for adults aged 18 or older: Marriage Biodata (marriage biodata), the Future Spouse portrait, Dreams for Two and any reading about sexual or married life. The app asks you to confirm your age before opening them.
What we collect
- Birth details: name, gender (if you give it), date, time and place of birth, with the place’s coordinates and time zone, for you and for anyone you add, such as family members. Add another person only with their permission.
- Account details: if you continue with Google, your name, email address and profile photo from Google; if you use email, your email address (your password is held by Firebase Authentication and is never visible to us). Before you sign in, the app uses a random anonymous ID.
- Palm photos: the photos you take or choose for a palm reading, with the details you add (such as hand and age). Small copies stay in the app’s private storage on your phone so you can see your reading again.
- Questions and readings: the questions you ask Ask Bhavyam and the guides, your recent conversations, the answers written for you, and the readings, reports, portraits and journal entries you create. Some of these (such as guide chats and the dream journal) stay only on your phone.
- What you choose to share: features made for sharing (Friends and Family Today, Friendship Match, Marriage Biodata, Couple Dream Diary, Chant Together and Best Date for Family) show the other people you invite only what that feature needs, such as your display name and a few chart facts (Moon sign, nakshatra). A Marriage Biodata’s photo and phone number are shown to the other family only after both sides agree, and its public preview shows only the fields you chose. Photos you upload have their location data removed.
- Payments and wallet: order and transaction IDs, amounts, dates, your credit balance and its history, and your subscription status. We never receive your card number, UPI PIN or bank password, Google Play and Razorpay handle those.
- Device and technical data: a one-way scrambled (SHA-256) code made from your phone’s Android ID, used only so the welcome gift can be claimed once per phone; app-integrity checks (Firebase App Check with Google Play Integrity) that protect our servers from abuse; basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service; and crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics) when the app hits an error: the error, the app version and the phone model, with no name, birth details or questions.
- Advertising: On free accounts, Bhavyam shows Google AdMob ads: a small banner on a few main pages, at most one full-screen ad a day, short video ads that you choose to watch (for example for a free reading) and small sponsored cards on some reference pages. Plus and Pro accounts see no ads. Google AdMob may collect your advertising ID, general device information and approximate location (from your IP address), under Google’s policies. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone’s Google settings.
Why we use it
- To calculate your charts, Panchang, numerology and other readings.
- To save your profiles and readings and keep them in step across your phones.
- To answer your questions and write AI readings when you ask for them.
- To run your wallet, credits and subscription, and to prevent fraud and misuse.
- To reply when you contact us, and to meet our legal duties (for example tax and accounting records).
We do not sell your personal data, and we never share your birth details, questions, readings or palm photos with advertisers.
Palm photos and AI
- To read a palm, the photo is sent to our server and to Google’s Gemini AI service, which reads it and writes the reading. It is used only for that reading.
- We do not keep the palm photo on our servers after the reading is made. The written reading is saved to your history so you can open it again.
- For Ask Bhavyam and the AI guides, your question and the relevant details of your chart are sent to Google Gemini to write the answer.
- Some chart calculations use the VedAstro astrology service: only the date, time and place (coordinates) of birth are sent, never a name.
- AI can make mistakes. Please read our Disclaimer.
Where your data is stored and who helps us
Your data is stored on Google Firebase (Google Cloud). Google’s servers may be located outside India. We use these service providers, each only for the job described:
- Google Firebase / Google Cloud: sign-in, database, server functions and storage.
- Google Gemini: AI readings, answers and palm photo reading.
- VedAstro: some chart calculations, from the date, time and place of birth only.
- Google Play: in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- Razorpay: payments made through Razorpay.
- Google AdMob: ads (see “What we collect”).
- Firebase Crashlytics: crash reports, so we can fix errors.
- An email delivery service: payment receipts sent to your account email.
- OpenStreetMap (Nominatim): the place name you type when searching for a birthplace.
- Open-Meteo: the coordinates of the chosen place, to find its time zone.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a court or a government authority.
Your consent
By adding birth details, sending a palm photo or asking a question, you consent to us processing that data for the purpose described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by deleting that data in the app or by deleting your account. Withdrawing stops future processing; it does not undo processing done before. Some features cannot work without the data they need.
How long we keep it
- Your profiles, readings, journals and conversations are kept while your account exists, and deleted when you delete them or your account.
- Palm photos are not kept after the reading is made.
- A Marriage Biodata, with its photo and phone number, stays active for 90 days and can be cancelled at any time; it is deleted with your account.
- If you report an AI answer, the report (the reason, your note and that answer) is kept so we can review it, and is deleted with your account.
- Payment and credit transaction records (amounts, dates and the account ID, no birth details) are kept for as long as Indian tax and accounting law requires.
- To stop the same purchase or welcome gift being claimed twice, a short record of the account ID with a store purchase reference or the scrambled phone code is kept after an account is deleted. It contains no birth details, questions or readings.
Your rights
You have the right to get a summary of your personal data, to correct or update it, to have it erased, to have your grievances addressed, and to nominate another person to use these rights if you die or become unable to.
- Edit or delete any birth profile from You → Profiles.
- Delete everything from You → Account → “Delete account and data”. Any autopay is cancelled first; then your profiles, readings, journals, conversations, shared cards, remaining credits and sign-in are deleted from our servers and from the phone. Details: bhavyamapp.com/delete-account/
- Or email contact@bhavyamapp.com from the email address of your account and we will do it for you.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest on Google Cloud, and access to your records is limited to your own account. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top, and tell you in the app before a significant change takes effect.
Contact and grievances
For any question, request or complaint about your data, write to our grievance contact, the owner of Bhavyam, at contact@bhavyamapp.com. We will acknowledge your message and aim to resolve it within 15 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
